Top-seller: Dynasty Warriors 7 – 253,090

Nintendo 3DS sales: 96,463 | Total sales: 680,850

Sales of Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy in its second week were close to 65,000, bringing the game to a total of 351,113 units sold so far. Dissidia 012 was the second best-selling game for the week of March 7th – 13th, being beaten out by the newly-released Dynasty Warriors 7, which pulled in impressive sales of 253,090 units.

For the sake of comparison, Samurai Warriors 3Z, an enhanced port of Samurai Warriors 3, sold 208,548 units in its first week when it debuted in February. If you combine the first week sales of the Samurai Warriors 3 enhanced versions on both Wii and PlayStation 3, it puts the game at 231,146 units.

Meanwhile, Rurouni Kenshin: Saisen made its debut lower down the chart at #4, and sold 24,344 units. There’s no way of knowing just how much the recent tragedies in Japan have affected sales of these titles, as well as of Nintendo 3DS hardware and software. Perhaps next week’s sales chart will give us a better idea of this.

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition:

Something we did look up just for fun, however, were first week sales of the original Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for a quick comparison with the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, now that it’s been on shelves for a couple of weeks. Here’s a look:

Total sales of Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition are currently at 67,444 units, which isn’t bad at all, considering the game is a year (or two years, if you count the original) old at this point, and available on a wide range of platforms, including the iPhone.
