Project X Zone Screenshots Up The Tension With Triple Attacks

Namco Bandai’s crossover RPG brings together icons from Sega, Namco Bandai, and Capcom. Usually, characters show up in teams like Kurt Irving and Riela Marcellis from Valkyria Chronicles 4 who can team up to do the attack combination – Anti-Tank Lance & Light of the Valkyria.

Ulala from Space Channel 5 (voiced by "herself") is a bit different. Her attack, Tension Blaster, summons Opa Opa from Fantasy Zone and the dude from Space Harrier to attack. Toma and Cyrille from Shining Force EXA continue the combo using Dark Arrow & Hell Blast. It’s almost like Ulala is a summon… that summons other Sega characters.

Sanger from the Super Robot Taisen OG series may be Namco Bandai’s "Ulala." He runs in with Kite and BlackRose from .hack to do a Straight Cut technique which pierces enemies. The two .hack characters continue with one of their combos after Solange stabs his way through the screen.

So far, we haven’t seen a three fighter team on Capcom’s side. Screenshots show Resident Evil: Revelations characters Jill & Chris linking up for Pale Rider & Genesis. Mega Man X and Zero have Frost Tower & Hyouretsuzan.
