Summer break and the Obon festival means slower releases in Japan, so there were no new games on the software sales chart last week. Instead, New Super Mario Bros. 2 claimed the #1 spot on the chart again, and should cross the million mark in next week’s chart (or the week after).

 

At #2 were Pokémon Black/White 2, with 2.64 million sold thus far, and at #3 was Dragon Quest X, closing in on the 500k mark.

 

Meanwhile, other popular software has been holding up relatively well, too. Rune Factory 4, Run for Money Tousouchuu, Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D, and The Little Battlers: Explosive Boost have been performing well on the Nintendo 3DS front. That last one is particularly impressive, considering Explosive Boost is the third release of The Little Battlers.

 

On the PSP front, Digimon World Re:Digitize and Kuroko’s Basketball continue to move copies as well, as does Persona 4: Arena on the PlayStation 3.
