Last week saw a fair few new releases in Japan, but none of them performed spectacularly well. The Last of Us Remastered made its debut on PS4 and sold 30,587 copies in its first week. Meanwhile, Bullet Girls on the Vita sold 29,690 copies.

Also out last week were two versions of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls—one for PlayStation 3 and one for PlayStation 4, selling a combined total of 33,648 copies. Both versions of the game were published by Square Enix under their “Extreme Edges” label, which is used for Western games such as Call of Duty.

Meanwhile, coming out of Obon week, hardware and software sales across the board took a dive. This is most evident in the case of Yo-kai Watch 2, which fell from 118,526 copies the week prior to 77,465 copies. That said, I doubt Level 5 have any reason to complain—the game is already at 2.28 million copies sold at retail.
