Last week, The Pokémon Company released Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in Japan, and the games sold 1,418,168 copies across all retail SKUs.

In comparison, Pokémon X and Y sold 1,866,570 copies in their first week in Japan, so Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire weren’t far behind at all. As previously reported earlier in the day, the two games are already over 3.04 million sold worldwide.

Meanwhile, Koei Tecmo released Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires, selling 38,123 copies on PlayStation 3 and 11,725 copies on PlayStation 4.
