Last week, Japan got the latest Drum Master game with Taiko Drum Master: Doko Don! Mystery Adventure for Nintendo 3DS, along with a couple visual novels in Hakuoki Shinkai: Hana no Shou and Root Letter.

Top on the list this week is Taiko Drum Master: Doko Don! Mystery Adventure, which sold 32,369 copies for 3DS in its debut. Here’s how it stacks compared to recent titles from the rhythm game series:

  • (2013) Taiko Drum Master: Wii U Version! [Wii U] – 19,265
  • (2014) Taiko Drum Master: Don to Katsu no Jiku Daiboken [3DS] – 53,095
  • (2014) Taiko Drum Master: Tokumori! [Wii U] – 11,769
  • (2015) Taiko Drum Master: V Version [PS Vita] – 46,101
  • (2015) Taiko Drum Master: Atsumete Tomodachi Daisakusen [Wii U] – 10,007

As you can see, the numbers (and platforms) for the Taiko Drum Master games are kind of all over the place, but Doko Don! Mystery Adventure’s debut sales puts it at around the middle of the titles from the series as of late. At #2 we have Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice which dropped from 196,831 copies last week in its debut to 25,288 in its second week.

Other new titles include Hakuoki Shinkai: Hana no Shou, which sold 10,526 copies on PS Vita for #4. Root Letter also made its debut, selling 4,855 for #11 on PS Vita and 4,052 for #14 on PS4 for a total of 8,907 copies between the two.

Hardware sales more or less remained more or less the same as last week, and we probably won’t see any big changes in the foreseeable future. Those of you waiting to see the Xbox One go into the negatives—sorry, it sold 58 copies, twelve more than the week prior.
