Last week, Japan saw a couple big PS4 releases in Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix following the big Nintendo Switch launch week. Here’s the latest from Japanese sales tracker, Media Create, with a look at software and hardware sales from the week of March 6 through March 12, 2017.

#1 of the week is Ghost Recon: Wildlands for PS4 by Ubisoft. This is definitely a big surprise, especially considering how the series’ last console title that released in Japan was Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, which debuted at #7 with 23,319 copies sold on PS3 back in July 2012. Perhaps this is a sign that titles such as Overwatch and more recent Battlefield and Call of Duty games have indeed brought some popularity to the FPS genre in Japan.

Following is Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix. To refresh your memories from a couple months ago when Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue released, the original Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix sold 128,414 copies in 2013 and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix saw 84,935 copies sold in 2014 for both Remix debuts on PS3. While the number for 1.5 + 2.5 Remix is much lower than the originals, it should be expected considering that it hasn’t been that long and fans of the series are probably still playing Final Chapter Prologue.

As far as hardware sales go, the Nintendo Switch is the top-seller with 61,998 units sold in the week. It has sold 391,149 units to date in Japan since its release according to Media Create’s numbers. Hardware sales for all other platforms remained relatively stable.
