Last week, Japan went through its “Golden Week hangover” with a drop in sales as people made their way back to work and school and Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death on 3DS was the only new release. Japanese sales tracker Media Create shares a look at software and hardware sales data from the week of May 8 through May 14, 2017.

The previous week was Golden Week, a chain of national holidays in Japan where people get time off from work to have fun, relax, and spend money on video games. Now that the festivities are over, it’s understandable as to why software and hardware sales have taken a big hit in numbers.

The sole release of the week was Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death, a visual novel title by Koei Tecmo’s Ruby Party, which sold 8,599 on the week. A low number for any title with the Attack on Titan label attached to it, but again, Golden Week hangover. It was also only available for 3DS, which isn’t exactly the go-to device for visual novel titles.

Hardware sales are where you’ll see the biggest blow, with a noticeable drop across the board after seeing healthy numbers for the past couple weeks. The Nintendo Switch sold 24,712 units, putting the console at 848,874 units sold to date in Japan going by Media Create’s numbers.

The top-20 chart of the week is as follows:
