Last week, Japan only saw one new title in the top-20 video game sales charts, and it was none other than Nintendo’s new Switch fighter, ARMS, which managed to do pretty well in its debut. Japanese sales tracker Media Create shares a look at software and hardware sales data from the week of June 12 through June 18, 2017.

First place of the week goes to ARMS on Nintendo Switch, which sold a whopping 100,652 units on its debut, quite the entrance for the new IP. This makes it the third Switch title to hit six-figure sales in Japan following The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at 186,379 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at 284,384. The last new IP that came up big for Nintendo in a similar way was Splatoon in 2015 with a debut of 144,818 units sold.

#2 goes to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with 16,822 units sold in the week and #3 to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with 10,200 to complete a top-3 of Switch titles for the week in Japan. Monster Hunter XX finished #4 with 8,638 copies sold, and Tekken 7 is hanging in there with 5,407 units sold to place #5.

In the hardware side of things, the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita saw increases but the Nintendo Switch went higher going from 27,291 the week before to 37,709. Going by Media Create’s numbers, the Nintendo Switch has sold 990,658 units to date since its March launch—just one more step for the million milestone in Japan.
