Why complete Bond Chats?

You will unlock Drink Link cutscenes after you complete a certain number of Bond Conversations out in the world. Aside from some funny cutscenes, completing these Drink Links will massively boost the performance of these crew members. Not only will their level caps increase, but their abilities will grow much more powerful.

All Bond chat characters in Pirate Yakuza

There are six Bond characters in total, but two are grouped together for their conversations and drink links. This means there are 50 bond chats that you can find in total, and seven Drink Links you can watch.

Here is the full list of characters that you can bond with in Pirate Yakuza.

  • Noah
  • Masaru
  • Jason
  • Saejima
  • Minami & Nishida

Noah is the first person that you can bond with in Pirate Yakuza, and his bond works a little differently. You can begin his bond as soon as you arrive in Hawaii for the first time, and there are 30 conversations to have with him on the island. Noah is the only party member with multiple Drink Links, and you can start these cutscenes at Revolve.

The other characters have just five conversations each. These can be found in the safe areas around the lighthouses when you are out at sea. To complete your Drink Links with these characters you need to go to your ship’s common area under the main deck.

All Bond Chat rewards

As a support character, Noah’s bond has slightly different rewards. Once you complete his drink links his support skill will be upgraded to Rallying Cry Bonded. This not only restores your team’s health, but will reduce the damage you take as well. He will also be able to level up from three to four stars.

For the other characters, not only will their level caps increase from 40 to 50, but they will gain new First Mate and Squad Leader Traits. This means that if you put them in important positions on your crew then they will provide extra powerful support.

Here is the list of upgraded traits for each character.

  • Masaru
    • Master of Stealth – Increases your smoke screen uses by 1.
    • Marine Cuisine Bonded – Greatly boosts Attack and adds Poison Resistance.
  • Jason
    • Strait Racer – Adds an additional stack to your fuel tank.
    • Hunter’s Knowledge Bonded – Greatly boosts Attack and Defense and adds Gun Resistance.
  • Saejima
    • Sink King – Increases damage done to enemy sterns.
    • Veteran Bonded – Greatly boosts Attack and Defense and adds Stun Resistance.
  • Minami

    • Martial Soul Bonded – Greatly boosts Attack and adds Burn Resistance.
  • Nishida

Any experience that you earn before the level cap is raised will be carried over so don’t be surprised to see your mates suddenly jump ten levels.
