All Boons and How to Get Them in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 introduces brand-new Boons, passive bonuses that can give you a competitive edge or increase gains from your crime spree.

In Fortnite: Lawless, Boons are no longer received from Shrines or dropped by enemies. Instead, players can purchase Boons from Black Markets or loot them from Chests.

Purchase Boons from Black Markets

Three Black Markets are available in every Fortnite Battle Royale or Zero Build match. At a Black Market, players can purchase Boons in exchange for Gold Bars or Dill Bits. Mythic and Legendary items are also on offer if you have the dough.

To find a Black Market, look for icons of a shop with a Dill Bit logo next to them (pictured above). Keep an eye out for other players when making your totally legitimate purchases.

Loot Boons from Rare Chests

While the official Fortnite news post for Chapter 6 Season 2 mentions that only Rare Chests contain Boons, I was able to find one from a regular Chest. Either way, Rare Chests are still your best bet.

You can find Rare Chests on the Island randomly, but you can always find them in Vaults. To open a Vault, you need to place Thermite on the door and hit weak spots to speed up the process. Thermite can be found in Chests, Go Bags, or purchased from Outlaw Vending Machines.

Vaults are available in Lonewolf Lair, Crime City (naturally), Seaport City, and Masked Meadows. Like Black Markets, Vaults have their own icons on the in-game map.

Placing Thermite on a Vault door will cause the NPC guards to become hostile, so make sure you’re stocked up. Players will inevitably try to steal your glory, too.

All Boons in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2

There are currently five Boons to purchase or loot in Fortnite:

• Vulture Boon: Reveal where enemies are eliminated on the map for a short time.
• Gold Rush Boon: Opening or destroying Chests grants Gold Rush.
• Adrenaline Rush Boon: Gain the Slap effect (short-term unlimited Energy regen) upon mantling, hurdling, and wall jumping.
• Gold Ammo Boon: Gain ammo when picking up Bars.
• Greed Boon: Find extra Bars from eliminations and opening containers.

Boons persist through eliminations, meaning you get to keep your hard-earned Boon if your Squad reboots you! You can also hold multiple Boons simultaneously.
