Bungie has revealed the Destiny 2 Episodes that will be released in 2024 following the launch of the Final Shape. This guide will break down all Year 10 Destiny 2 Episodes, including the Echoes release date.
Destiny 2 Year 10 Episodes Announced
The first Destiny 2 Episode is called Echoes and will launch on June 11, 2024. However, Bungie has revealed that players will be able to jump into a total of three episodes this year that follow the release of The Final Shape expansion.

Destiny 2Echoes Release Date
Destiny 2 Echoes will be released on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, and last until the beginning of July. The episode will have players returning to Nessus. However, the planet has now been transformed by a new enemy, who is making the Vex “act differently.”
The core feature of the June Destiny 2 Episode is the Arena: Breach Executable Activity. Players will take on a wave of Vex who have been taken over. While fending off the machines, teams will need to plug up geysers of energy that are bursting through the ground.
The story portion of the Episode will revolve around players re-visiting landmarks of Nessus, which now have new lore to discover. Bungie states that we will learn “new secrets” about the “long-lost ancient civilization” that once lived there.
Destiny 2Revenant
The Destiny 2 Revenant episode will be much more “horror-themed” and will lean heavily into the vampire-hunting mythos. Players will take on Fikrul, who is trying to raise up his own Army of Darkness. In the preview, the enemy is being played up as a “Vampire” locked away in his “keep.”
Sticking to the Episode’s themes, players will also be able to unlock vampire-hunting-themed armor. However, the core feature of this Episode is the new “Potion Crafting” system. In particular, the new “Loot Potions” will allow players to progress towards specific rewards.
In the preview, Bungie describes this new system as an overall goal they are working towards. They want players to be able to choose the kind of loot they want to drop so they have something to work towards.
Destiny 2Heresy
Finally, the last Destiny 2 Episode to be released in 2024 is called Heresy. The story will return back to the Hive Pantheon. While not fully revealed, the Episode will center around a “Dreadnaught” Activity, which is described as a “fortress of secrets.”
The Episode will not only have two plot themes running throughout it, but players will also be able to unlock two armor sets. The first set is full-on Eris-themed, whereas the other set lets players look like a Hive Mind Navigator.
There is still a lot we don’t know about Destiny 2 Heresy. However, the Episode is set to drop in November 2024 and will actually run through February 2025. So this will be the longest Episode featured in Year 10 Destiny.
