The big 1.2.0 Animal Crossing: New Horizons update has arrived, even though it was “supposed” to appear on April 23, 2020. We already had some idea about what it would bring, as a datamine found evidence Redd would return. However, now that the Animal Crossing: New Horizons patch notes are available and it has been applied, other things have been noticed.
For example, prior to the 1.2.0 Animal Crossing: New Horizons update, all outdoor radios and speakers were linked. They would all automatically play the same song, though each one had its own volume control. Now, all outdoor speakers and radios can play their own K.K. Slider track.
There are new Nook Miles rewards too. You can now purchase new Nook Inc. aloha shirts in coral and green for 600 miles each. These are identical to Isabelle and Timmy and Tommy’s shirts. You can also pay 1,200 miles for a bell-bag rug. Nintendo automatically gives one of these to everyone as a “gift” to make up for one of the other patch updates: reduced earned interest from money you deposit at the ABD.
A general update gift has been doled out via in-game mail too. Nintendo has sent everyone a world map that can be displayed on a wall.
These all comes alongside the previously announced Nature Day, May Day Tour, National Museum Day, and Wedding Season events, Leif’s temporary garden shop with flowers, trees, and shrubs, and Redd’s art and furniture boat.
Here are Nintendo’s official Animal Crossing: New Horizons patch notes for 1.2.0.
