Arceus Ascends in Pokemon TCG Pocket Triumphant Light Expansion

During Pokemon Presents 2025, The Pokemon Company revealed Triumphant Light, which is an upcoming expansion for Pokemon Trading Card Pocket. This new set is a supplementary expansion to Spacetime Smackdown, introducing even more Generation 4 Pokémon, trainers from Pokémon Legends Arceus, and Arceus EX itself.

We can begin to open Triumphant Light booster packs as soon as February 28, 2025. In addition to the new expansion, Ranked Battles have been announced for March 2025, though details have yet to be revealed.

Triumphant Light heavily focuses on Arceus EX, with many cards in the set featuring “Link” abilities that require Arceus in play to activate. For example, Abomasnow’s attack requires one less energy while Arceus or Arceus EX is in play thanks to its “Vigor Link” ability.

Triumphant Light also adds a new set of Solo Battles featuring cards from the expansion. Players can also expect new binders, deck covers, player icons, and various other customization options inspired by Generation 4 Pokémon.

The most noteworthy cards include Arceus EX, Leafeon EX, Garchomp EX, Probopass EX, Glaceon EX, and trainers from Pokémon Legends Arceus, such as Adaman and Irida.

Notably, Probopass EX is a brand new addition to the Pokémon Trading Card Game, with no physical cards or appearances in other PTCG games.

Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is available to play for free on Android and iOS devices, and Triumphant Light expansion booster packs arrive on February 28, 2025.
