Best Cozy Game Demos in the Steam Next Fest 2025

The Steam Next Fest is back again in 2025 with the ability to check out many of the upcoming titles that will release this year and beyond. If you are a cozy games fan like myself, you will be happy to know that there are some peaceful, relaxing, and romantic titles to check out this year. Here are the best cozy game demos you should download for free in the Steam Next Fest 2025.

Type-Noise: Shonen Shojo

Visual novels are among some of the coziest games I like to play, and this one is a surreal and mind-bending upcoming adventure. It tells the story of six teens that find themselves trapped in a fascinating version of Tokyo where they have to confront their traumas. The story seems very intriguing and serious, while the visuals are hypnotic and colorful.

Promise Mascot Agency

Promise Mascot Agency is my most anticipated indie title of 2025, if only for being the next game from the creators of Paradise Killer, which is probably my favorite indie game of all time. I have played some of this demo, which is very different from Kaizen Game Works’ previous title.

It is an open-world mascot collectathon adventure. This is a far cry from the stylized murder mystery in the previous game. You really have to have an open mind for this one, but the world is fun to explore. Plus, the characters are wacky and fascinating enough to be worth a look.

Killer Chat! Expanded Edition

This is a demo for the return of this satirical murder mystery visual novel. You find yourself as a reporter pretending to be a serial killer in a chat room full of them. You can possibly romance them or get murdered. Your job is to pretend to be one of the crew. It is a bizarre premise with some neat customizable 2D protagonist features, so it is worth a look for an edgier but still relaxing experience.
