NCSoft has announced that Blade & Soul will be getting new servers in order to combat the long waiting times people are currently experiencing when trying to play the game.

These new servers are expected within 48 hours of the announcement (which went out on the evening of January 20th). “For those of you who have yet to start playing, or those of you who wouldn’t mind starting over, it can be expected that wait times on them may be a bit shorter,” notes NCSoft.

This is not all that NCSoft has been doing to tackle the game’s long queues during this launch period. A hotfix went live on January 20th that kicks inactive players out of servers and fixes the queue time text so it displays correctly.

“We have significantly raised the maximum capacity of our servers, while ensuring they remain stable, and we’ve restricted character creation on servers as needed—which has helped balance population across all servers,” adds NCSoft. “We also offered a limited-time item transfer service to get people off of high population servers that ended earlier today.”
