Capcom Conducting Monster Hunter Wilds Player Survey

Capcom announced it will conduct a series of player surveys to help gauge interest on and gather feedback on Monster Hunter Wilds, and the first is available on March 4, 2025. It’s live on the official site. However, it is so popular that, as of 9:50am ET on March 4, 2025, trying to take it returns a “we’re experiencing heavy traffic on this survey” response.

This first survey only runs until March 27, 2025. It is for players on all platforms. First, it asks which version of this game you bought, then asks about your history when it comes to playing past Monster Hunter titles and Capcom games. It goes on to ask about how you get news about this entry, both via Capcom, websites, and showcases. It also asks marketing-related questions and some initial details about playtime. You can also offer some initial feedback about your experience. At the end, a free wallpaper is offered. There are also points during this survey at which you can submit your own insights and answer more open-ended questions about the game.

The second survey will arrive in May 2025. Capcom noted that it will go over “product content.” This means it will likely focus on the experience and monsters. It is unknown how that could affect future development. However, we do know free updates are on the way, with Mizutsune being the first free monster.

We’ve already started to see Capcom respond to player feedback on Monster Hunter Wilds, even before the first survey launched. Some folks revealed issues with getting through Chapter 5 due to a bug tied to a character’s appearance. A patch for that is already live. We will likely also see future responses like that, as sales passed eight million already.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The first post-launch survey for the game is live until March 27, 2025.
