Sekai Project have announced three stretch goals for the Kickstarter campaign being used to fund their English-language release of Clannad.
The first stretch goal—which is at $200,000—has already been reached. Sekai Project will use the HD assets from the PlayStation 3 release of Clannad for their English-language release of the game on PC. These assets are currently at 1280×960 resolution, but Key are processing them to 1280×720 for proper widescreen support.
The next stretch goal is further off at $320,000. The side-stories from the PlayStation 3, PSP and Vita releases of Clannad will be included in Sekai’s PC version. The reason this stretch goal is set at $320k is because the assets for the side-stories were created by companies other than Visual Art’s/Key, and additional fees will need to be paid to license that material.
Finally, the third stretch goal is a new Clannad anthology manga. This goal requires $380,000 and will be a manga produced in collaboration with “a lot of amazing talents”. Interestingly, this manga will be released in the West before Japan.
