Dynasty Warriors Origins Instant Noodles Will Come in February

Koei Tecmo has revealed that it is working with multiple companies to release Dynasty Warriors Origins-branded instant noodles. The first one will be Chengdu-style Tantanmen instant noodles from Sanyo Foods‘ Sapporo Ichiban brand, which will be available in Japan on February 3, 2025.

The instant noodle cups will appear with four different lid designs, but the content inside will be the same nevertheless. The Wei, Wu, and Shu lids will feature the three playable companion characters from each respective faction. The fourth lid will instead show Lu Bu and Diaochan.

As a side note, while Chengdu-style Tantanmen will serve as the basis for the instant noodles, the city of Chengdu itself is not even actually featured in Dynasty Warriors Origins. This is because the series’ main characters have yet to explore areas around the city by the time the game’s coverage ends at the Battle of Chi Bi / Red Cliffs in 208 AD.

In a separate announcement, Koei Tecmo revealed that it is also simultaneously working on a separate merchandise collaboration project for Dynasty Warriors Origins with Ichiran Ramen. The company will reveal more details on the latter at a later time.

The Dynasty Warriors Origins-branded Chengdu Tantanmen instant noodles will be available for sale in Japan on Monday, February 3, 2025.
