Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Gets Sandalphon and Pop Team Epic

The major 2.0 Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising update arrives on February 26, 2025, and it adds Sandalphon and Pop Team Epic avatars. Sandalphon is $7.99 alone, which also nets you a Premium Avatar, Badge, Battle Kit, and digital figure, and the Pop Team Epic add-on is $5.99. 

First, we already knew Sandalphon was on the way. However, now that he’s about to properly debut, there’s a trailer showing him off. Here’s how he looks when used in a fight:

Sandalphon can also be acquired in the Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Character Pass 2 and Deluxe Character Pass 2. The prices weren’t confirmed for those yet, but the first ones cost $34.99 and $49.99. He’ll be followed by Galleon in Spring 2025, Wilnas in Summer 2025, Meg in Fall 2025, and Ilsa in early 2026. The Deluxe Edition adds color variants, weapon skins, a Sandalphon Dark Premium Avatar, and the Canaan Shrine stage.

As for the Pop Team Epic Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising DLC, that gives you the Premium Avatars for Popuko and Pipimi. When used as a partner, anime actors Ryusei Nakao and Norio Wakamoto return to voice both. You also get profile badges for each one.
