Hello Kitty Island Adventure Hugs & Hearts Event Returns

Sunblink promised more content is coming to Hello Kitty Island Adventure, and part of that includes the Hugs & Hearts event returning to the game for Valentine’s Day 2025. As in the past, it means catching Lovebugs in the Resort Plaza and caring for them. The activity is live now, and it will be available until February 21, 2025. 

This is the second year we’ve seen the Hugs & Hearts event in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, so we know exactly how it works. In the Resort Plaza, there will be a Lovebug Habitat. If you explore that Seaside Resort region, you’ll see Lovebugs roaming around. If you catch them with a net and place them in their new home, you eventually earn rewards. Basically, certain items require certain amounts of bugs. Some of the returning items shown in the trailer include furniture like the Double Heart Bed, Hugs & Hearts Habitat, Heart Lamp, Rockabilly Suit, and Draped Caftan. New items include things like the Heart Wings, Heartwing Cape, and Rose Backpack you can wear on your back or the Heart Arch, Heart Dining Chair, Heart Table, and Heart Divider furniture pieces.

The other event going on is the Luck & Lanterns Celebration. That’s designed to celebrate the Lunar New Year. It started on January 19, 2025. It’s still running now until February 24, 2025. As with Hugs & Hearts, it also appeared in the game in 2024. Just like this event, it involved both new and returning items for us to earn as we’d go through activities and log in every day.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is available on the Nintendo Switch, PC, and Apple Arcade. It will also come to the PS4 and PS5. The Hello Kitty Island Adventure Hugs & Hearts Valentine’s Day event will until February 21, 2025.
