In an interview with Gamespot, Hideo Kojima, the director of the Metal Gear Solid series of games, says that he would like to bring Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to PC, in addition to its console release.
“PC, that’s my original background. I originally created PC games,” Kojima said to Gamespot. “A long time ago I didn’t want to rely on platforms to release games, so if people want it, I cannot make a formal announcement, but that is definitely something that I would like to do.”
At this point, it’s hard to believe that Metal Gear Solid V won’t eventually make its way over to PC, given that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was released on PC, albeit nearly a year after its console release.
Additionally, you may recall that Kojima actually mentioned that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was running on a PC when he presented the game to the press on a couple of occasions. Kojima also noted that Metal Gear Solid V was running on PC at GDC last year, when he debuted the Phantom Pain trailer for the game.
