The Pokemon Center in Hiroshima will hold its renewal opening on April 11, 2025, and there will be a shiny red Gyarados at the entrance to welcome customers. Pikachu and Magikarp are also hanging out in the display, which resembles a waterfall that references to the mythological story behind Magikarp.
The new version of the Pokemon Center will feature Pikachu enjoying Hiroshima-specific souvenirs and activities. In a picture showing what the store will look like after its relaunch, we can see yet another waterfall display with water Pokemon swimming up it. There will be a section near the back for customers to play the Pokemon Trading Card Game. The Pokemon Center plans to hold events in that area in the future, so you’ll be able to play it with friends, family, and strangers.
This particular Pokemon Center opened in June 2015, and at the time, you could visit the store with your Nintendo 3DS and receive a free shiny red Gyarados in one of the Pokemon games. The Pokemon Company also set up multiple Pokemon-themed decorations and facilities around the Hiroshima train station complex, which is the new location of the Pokemon Center. Aside from a Gyarados-themed playground, it’ll also have a bench that resembles Snorlax.
The Pokemon Center will reopen in Hiroshima on April 11, 2025.
