The reference is very clear when the game primarily takes place on the 8th floor of an office. The objective of this game will be to take the correct elevator to go down to the 1st floor. However, it will instruct players to take the blue elevator only if there are no anomalies in the office or the red one if there are any. They must thus explore the office floor to notice any unusual changes.

holo8 also has an Everyday Mode that does not feature any horror effects so that horror-averse players can also enjoy the game. However, some of the anomalies will be exclusively available in the regular Anomaly Mode, which also has special effects on a game over scene.

This game features a total of 76 characters. It includes alum Vtubers who have formally graduated, such as Kiryu Coco and Minato Aqua. Players will be able to see not only the Japanese Vtubers from the original and DEV_IS groups but also staff members and Vtubers from the English and Indonesian branches.

holo8 is now available worldwide on PC via Steam.
