How to Access and Use Outfit Glamours in FFXIV

There are some neat quality-of-life changes that have happened with the release of Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.2. For my fellow glamour fans, the outfit glamours you now make in FFXIV Patch 7.2 and beyond are much easier to filter through and find the locations of the original items than before.

How to Filter and Access Outfit Glamours in FFXIV

Outfit glamours are another way of simplifying the glamour system. The unfortunate part, though, is the game does a pretty bad job of explaining it. What you want to do is go to your Glamour Dresser in any inn. Once there, you can look at the items you have. Some items, especially level one glamour ones, will be available for outfit glamours.

What this means is they have a full set they are part of. You will need to actively have the full set with you. You then want to make an outfit glamour with them. It is another way of doing like a Glamour Plate but with a single specific outfit. You can even filter your Glamour Dresser to find items that are available or currently in outfit glamours to make it easier.

Outfit Glamour Location Marks, Explained

When it comes to the locations for each of the individual items in your outfit glamours in FFXIV, there are different markers that indicate where it comes from or what it can do. These markers aren’t explained super well by the game, so it can be a bit confusing at first. What you need to know first is the marker with a little clothing item and a plus symbol in the corner.

This means that that particular item can be used in an outfit glamour, which can make using the instructions above. The other marker you can get looks like a treasure chest symbol. This one means that the item in question is already part of an outfit glamour and has been saved as an outfit. These markers help you quickly know if you can use an outfit glamour or not for it.
