Getting a certain amount of buzz will also be directly tied up with objectives in the campaign, like receiving a 2-star rating in Memento Mile. But how do you increase the buzz in your museum exactly? Well, this guide will cover the major ways you can go about this.

How Do I Increase Buzz in Two Point Museum?

Every exhibit you place in your museum will harbour a certain number of buzz points. When you click on an exhibit, an information box will appear on the screen. The star symbol will show you how much buzz you already have and what you could potentially gain. A good way of increasing the buzz is by placing decorations near the exhibit, and if you pick decorations that share the same theme, it will dramatically increase the buzz in that area. It’s worth mentioning that incomplete exhibits will have a glass ceiling on how much buzz they can generate until all the parts are gathered. An example of this would be Sharpontops Skeleton. You will have to go out on expeditions to collect the remaining pieces.

However, over time, the exhibit will deteriorate and become unpresentable, lowering the buzz in the museum. You will need an expert to restore these items. We recommend always leaving an expert in the building who can restore these exhibits, as this will ensure that a certain level of buzz is maintained in the museum. When you unlock the training room, it could be a good idea to have a particular expert trained in rapid restoration, as this will allow the expert to restore the exhibits much quicker around the museum.

Although not as effective as exhibits, you can always place interactive displays in the museum that will also increase buzz. Interactive displays are more tailored towards kids’ visitors as they will not find the knowledge aspects of the museum so interesting. You can start making interactive displays when you unlock the workshop.

Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s move on to the fancy footwork of buzz bonuses. To see the requirements, click on the exhibit in question, and an information box will appear. From here, you will want to press RB, which will take you to a different tab within the box. You should now see the criteria for activating the buzz bonus, which could entail placing a particular decoration nearby or positioning it close to other themed exhibits.

This will be important when trying to achieve a 2-star rating at Wailon Lodge, as when you’re trying to fulfil the requirements to start an expedition at Slumber Yard, you will need to activate a buzz bonus on a Yeti. If you’re having some difficulty achieving this, it might be worthwhile to see if you can get another Yeti, as it may have easier requirements to meet.

An exhibit’s quality will also dictate how much buzz you will receive. You can gain better quality exhibits by heading out on expeditions. In the later part of the campaign, it’s going to be really hard to complete levels without gaining good-quality exhibits, so getting onto this sooner rather than later will be highly beneficial. You will also earn a perk when you break down exhibits for knowledge in the analysis room. Some of these perks can increase your buzz, so we suggest equipping these onto epic and pristine exhibits.

Two Point Museum is now available PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S.
