Avowed features a smaller open-like world for you to explore in the Living Lands, but it still has plenty of optional content to check out. One such major piece of content is the treasure maps. You can use these to dig up some incredible rewards. But, of course, that is assuming you know how to dig up treasure in the first place using treasure maps in Avowed.
How to Get Treasure Maps in Avowed
You don’t dig up treasure in the traditional sense in this fantasy RPG. Instead, it is more like finding the treasure using the treasure maps. But in order to even get that far, you are going to want to find some treasure maps first. There are a few ways you can get treasure maps in this title, with a few available in each region of the Living Lands.
You can get some treasure maps by just speaking to traders and buying it from them directly. Others can be found throughout the world, while still more can be given to you as rewards. As mentioned, treasure maps are highly limited and there are only a handful of them in each area of the world.
How to Dig Up Treasure in Avowed
Once you have a treasure map in Avowed, you are now ready to “dig up” treasure. As mentioned, you can’t actually dig it up. Instead, you are focusing on finding the treasure chest marked on the map so you can get the armor, gold, and other goodies inside. A treasure map shows you a literal location somewhere in the region.
In general, these treasure maps are pretty accurate. They may be a 2D portrait, but they look very similar to the real deal when you see it in person. For instance, the Intimidating Feline Codpiece is one of the first treasure maps you are likely to come across. It shows a ravine with cliffs on either side. You can find these cliffs on the eastern edge of the Dawnshore region.
Once you reach the location you need to find from the treasure map, your goal is to look for the location the line in the map is pointing to. It is here, such as behind a breakable barricade, that you are able to find the chest with the treasure you desire.
Avowed is available right now for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
