How to Get a Civilization VII Science Victory

Civilization VII has four key victories that are all tied to the different stats players can feed into. One of these is Science, which is there for those who prefer to go the more philosophical and technological route to victory. It is well worth knowing how to get a Civ VII Science Victory since it is one of the toughest around.

All Civilization VII Science Legacy Paths

Like the other three main victories, going the Science route will involve three different Legacy Paths depending on your Age. These Legacy Paths have three separate goals that will help you on the way to achieving the actual victory.

Here are the three missions players have to deal with in the Age of Antiquity and the rewards you obtain alongside them:

• Get 3 Codices (You can find a Codex through Scouts and more, and place them in a Library): Get 1 Legacy Point
• 6 Codices: Get 1 Legacy Point and +1 Science for each of the Codices you have in the Age of Exploration
• 10 Codices: Get 1 Legacy Point and your Academy remains useful in the Exploration Age

These objectives continue in the Age of Exploration as well. You get three more with their own set of rewards. The main crux of this particular Age is to use Specialists on various tiles to garner 40 or more resource yields.

• Get 40 yields or more on 1 tile with a Specialist: Get 1 Legacy Point
• 40 yields or more on 3 Specialist tiles: Get 1 Legacy Point and +3 Science for every Quarter you have in the upcoming Modern Age
• 40 yields or more on 5 Specialist tiles: Get 1 Legacy Point and your University remains the same into the Modern Age

How to Get a Civ VII Science Victory

You can’t actually get a Science Victory in Civ VII until the Modern Age. The other two Ages before are mainly there just to provide buffs as the match goes on. Like the other two, there is one final Legacy Path for Science in the Modern Age. It mainly revolves around building Scientific projects.

Here is the Modern Age Science Legacy Path and its rewards:

• Create the Aerodrome Project and Complete a Trans-Oceanic Flight: Get 1 Legacy Point
• Complete Aerodynamics and Break the Sound Barrier: Get 1 Legacy Point
• Build a Launch Pad and Launch a Satellite: Get 1 Legacy Point and unlock the Staffed Space Flight Project

The actual way you win is with the Staffed Space Flight Project. Once you complete this project, you will instantly unlock a Science Victory.
