How to Get and Use Tales of Graces f Artes

Tales of Graces f Remastered differs from other Tales games in the franchise in that characters don’t automatically learn Artes as they level up or progress through the game. There’s an additional step you have to take before you can diversify your characters’ moves. Fortunately, it’s not very difficult.

How to get Artes for characters in Tales of Graces f Remastered

Titles are a huge part of this game’s character progression system, as you might’ve guessed from how you unlock and equip costumes. Most Tales games let characters learn new moves when they level up or clear an event. However, in Tales of Graces f Remastered, a character doesn’t actually learn how to use the Arte until they learn it from a title. This includes Mystic Artes as well.

To learn an Arte, you must equip the title onto the character and level it up enough to learn it. You don’t need to master or max out the title unless the Arte is the final bonus you unlock. Using the Arte enough times may garner you an additional title. These titles not only offer bonuses to improve the Arte in question, but you can actually learn a similar Arte from these titles.

Which Artes do characters learn from other party members?

An interesting mechanic in Tales of Graces f Remastered is how characters can learn Artes from each other. Sophie and Richard can receive titles if they fight alongside specific party members long enough to learn a move from them. Sophie can learn the following Artes from her fellow party members:

  • Bladerang Hurl (Malik)
  • Dagger Splash (Cheria)
  • Dualblade Spin (Hubert)
  • Shortstaff Blast (Pascal)
  • Slash Rose (Richard)
  • Sword Assault (Asbel)

Richard can also do the same thing. Here are the Artes Richard can pick up:

  • Antidote (Hubert)
  • Deathmire (Malik)
  • Double Moon (Sophie)
  • Infernal Prison (Pascal)
  • Lightning Blast (Cheria)
  • Moonlight Circle (Asbel)
