If you want to get the Blue Chicken, you will need to build your relationship with Shane until you get his 8 Heart event. You just need to go to Marnie’s Ranch anytime Shane is there to see it. From this point forward, Blue Chickens will be available as an option when buying a chicken from Marnie. Note that the color is random, but you can preview what color you’ll get just before purchasing, so you can manipulate the system this way.

As for Golden Chickens, you need to get a Golden Egg first and put it in the Incubator. To do this, you need to first get 100% Perfection in the game, which is nearly endgame-level content. Once you do this, you can get a Golden Egg for 100,000 gold from Marnie, Qi’s Walnut Room, a random sleep event, or through Fishing Treasure Chests.

In addition to the special Blue and Golden Chickens, you can also get the unique Void Chickens in Stardew Valley. As always, you’ll need a Void Egg and place it inside of an Incubator to obtain this chicken variant. Of course, obtaining a Void Egg is easier said than done. Here are all of the ways to get a Void Egg for hatching a Void Chicken:

  • Random Witch Sleep Event: This requires you to have an empty spot in a Big or Deluxe Coop
  • Buy from Krobus for 5,000g
  • Random Shane Marriage Gift: On rainy days only
  • Void Salmon Fish Pond

Stardew Valley is available right now for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
