How to Get Hello Kitty Island Adventure Chocolate Coins

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is home to many different items you can collect to create new gifts and important items for your island getaway vacation. While some items are fairly straightforward to collect, others are a bit harder to find. Among them is the Chocolate Coin. Chocolate Coins aren’t just sequestered to a specific area of the islands, they’re easy to miss, and can be a pain to collect. Here’s a brief guide on how to get Hello Kitty Island Adventure Chocolate Coins in a simple fashion.

Chocolate Coins are located within the Rainbow Reef. However, to reach them, you have to dive underwater. In order to swim underwater, you need a pair of Flippers and a Snorkel. This involves many steps, including raising your friendship with various characters and collecting the resources you’ll need to craft them. A brief guide explaining how to acquire both of these items can be found in our guide on Where to Find Coral Milk in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Once you have both the Flippers and the Snorkel, head to the Cozy Islands fast travel point. Chocolate Coins only spawn near the sunken ship, North and slightly West of this group of tiny islands. If you need a better visual, the screenshot below highlights the sunken ship’s location.

You can recognize Chocolate Coins by their golden wrapping, but this tends to blend in with the many colorful parts of the environment. This is especially true at night, when visibility underwater is poor. If you’re not paying attention, you can swim right past them. Instead, keep an eye out for the white shine effect the items in Hello Kitty Island Adventure give off when they’re nearby. Chocolate Coins have a skull on their wrapping you can look for as well.

While it’s fairly easy to pick up the Chocolate Coins closer to the surface in this area, the majority of Coins spawn closer to the ocean floor. Swimming underwater normally consumes a great amount of stamina. Without enough stamina, collecting the full amount of Chocolate Coins that spawn daily becomes a challenge. A quick workaround to this is diving straight down into the water, making note of where the Coins are resting, and then resurfacing. Once you’ve regained your stamina, align your position approximately to where the Chocolate Coin is, and swim straight down. Hopefully your stamina will last long enough to grab the Coin before you’re forced to swim back up.

There’s a few alternatives to this method. You can try to activate the fast travel point to the left of the shipwreck. If you manage to do this, you can use the fast travel to teleport yourself to the ocean floor without spending any stamina! It’s also a good idea to complete Hangyodon’s Comedy Club quest (unlocked by reaching Level 6 friendship with him) in order to receive the Mermaid outfit. This outfit reduces your stamina consumption when swimming underwater, trivializing the challenge of collecting Chocolate Coins. 15 Chocolate Coins spawn every day in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Make sure to collect them all to optimize your resource gathering!

If these don’t work, try looking for golden chests and becoming closer to your island friends for Stamina Apple Slices. Five of these can be turned into a Stamina Apple, which permanently increases your overall stamina. If you don’t have the means to collect underwater items, and have friends who do, why not let them collect those items in the meantime?
