How to Get Knight Core in FFXIV

You can only get Knight Core through two specific methods. The first is the simplest, but will cost you quite a bit more than likely. You can get Knight Core by buying it on the Market Board like most other similar materials. That said, expect to pay a pretty penny for even a single one of these, especially if you are playing soon after 7.2 drops.

The other way to get Knight Core is to earn it from completing the Recollection Extreme Trial. This Trial was released as part of the Seekers of Eternity Patch 7.2 storyline. Just know that this is not guaranteed for you to roll on and get every single time you do this Trial. So, it can take some effort and skill to obtain this way.

How to Get Queen’s Knight Barding in FFXIV

Once you have the Knight Core in FFXIV, one of the major uses for it is to make the Queen’s Knight Barding. Sure, you could buy this Chocobo Barding on the Market Board, but expect to pay even more than for the Knight Core itself. Instead, it is better to just make this Chocobo Barding based on the Recollection Trial boss yourself.

To make Queen’s Knight Barding, you need to have a level 100 Armorer. In addition, you will want to have at least 4780 Craftsmanship. You will also want to have the Master Recipes 12 book. Finally, you will need the following items to be able to craft the Queen’s Knight Barding:

  • 3 Ice Clusters
  • 3 Earth Clusters
  • Knight Core
  • 2 Maraging Steel Ingots
  • 1 Sterling Silver Ingot
  • 2 Ra’Kaznar Ingots

Final Fantasy XIV is available right now for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
