Hello Kitty Island Adventure is a lovely life-sim adventure with a much bigger map than you’d expect. Littered across the archipelago making up the area you explore are a cornucopia of plants, minerals, and critters. A core part of the Hello Kitty Island Adventure experience is collecting these resources and converting them into wonderful gifts for your friends. With so many different items to find, it’s no surprise that some of them are a bit more elusive than others. Among them is the Magma Bloom, a flower that’s easy-to-miss if you’re zooming across the islands. Here’s how to get Magma Bloom in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, and what to look out for so you never miss them again.
How to Get Magma Bloom in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Unlike other items in the game, Magma Bloom isn’t obtainable as a gift from friends or a reward from quests. It is exclusively available in Mount Hothead. In order to get to Mount Hothead, you’ll need the Flippers to swim across the gaps in the path leading there. Magma Bloom grows from a blue and purplish plant, which you can find all over the mountain. They’re not always in bloom, but make sure to remember where these plants are. Check every day for the red and orange flower with yellow flame-like petals on top. That’s your Magma Bloom! Keep in mind, only a certain amount of Magma Bloom will spawn in a given day. Don’t wait until all the plants are in bloom to harvest. This will never happen.
A great place to look for Magma Bloom on Mount Hothead is on the second level of the mountain. It’s very close to the start of the area if you’re following the wooden path leading to the island. This is technically inaccessible via walking, but we can exploit the game’s stamina system to get here early. As soon as you step off the white rocks connected to the Mount Hothead area, head north to the rock wall. Hug the wall and spam the jump button. You should be able to scale it and reach the second level! If you don’t have enough stamina, look for Stamina Apple Slices in golden chests or as friendship rewards to increase it, and try again. This specific spot, just past the temple entrance to the North, and South up to the Oven’s location, has quite a few Magma Bloom spawn points you can check every day. If you have trouble finding it, the player icon on the map below marks the location.
Where to Find the Red Hot Rampage Mini-Game in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
If running around, looking for plants that blend into the ground a bit too easily isn’t your style, there’s another way to get Magma Blooms. The “Red Hot Rampage” mini-game, also found on Mount Hothead, is an effective way to collect the flower. The rules are simple: collect as many Magma Blooms as possible before the time runs out. The mini-game costs valuable Game Tickets, but you keep any and all Magma Blooms you collect in addition to the prizes for winning! As long as you have tickets, you can re-do the mini-game several times to amass a large amount of Magma Blooms. The entrance to “Red Hot Rampage” is, thankfully, incredibly close to the area described above. Remember that temple? All you have to do is head on inside!
