There is a new crossover event of sorts that is happening between Fujifilm Instax and Final Fantasy XIV. With this collaboration, players are able to get a brand new emote in the MMORPG to show off to others. How the Instax Photograph Emote Works
As you may know, the Fujifilm Instax is a popular physical camera that allows you to take photos and instantly receive the image with a physical photo after taking it. This popular and nostalgic camera is now collaborating with this MMORPG to allow players to essentially do the actions of using the Instax, but within the digital game itself.
The actual emote isn’t named after Fujifilm or Instax, though. The name of the emote is simply “Photograph.” What this means is you are able to use this emote once you have it by just typing “/photograph” or by finding the emote itself within the Emotes tab in the main menu.
How to Get the FFXIV Instax Photograph Emote for Free
With this Fujifilm Instax collaboration with FFXIV, you are now able to get the Photograph emote for absolutely free. Yes, this is a crossover event of sorts but it is a permanent one and you don’t have to spend anything at all. In fact, by the time you are reading this, you already have this emote. It has been given to everyone for free as of Patch 7.18 on February 25, 2025. Every player, regardless of being on the free trial or subscription, can now use it.
In addition, if you are fast, there is a screenshot campaign involving the new Instax Photograph emote. 10,000 lucky players will be granted a free in-game item for taking a snapshot, presumably with this emote. While the emote is seemingly permanent, this contest is only running until March 23, 2025.
Final Fantasy XIV is available right now for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
