How and Where to Place a Simple Altar

The Simple Altar is one of the first objects you can make and build in this open-world JRPG. That said, you can’t build it just anywhere you want. It is worth noting that there are two distinct types of building areas: the usual building area that is indicated as such on the world map and the campsites.

Campsites are much smaller and you cannot place Simple Altars here, so don’t waste your time. It needs to be a major building area. If you haven’t unlocked one of these, you need to continue the main story. From there, you can build and place the Simple Altar anywhere within the boundaries so long as you have room.

How the Simple Altar Works in Atelier Yumia

How the Simple Altar works in Atelier Yumia is it allows Yumia to synthesize at that location. This is a highly useful feature since, otherwise, you will have to fast travel back to the main Atelier every time you want to synthesize. This way, you can synthesize in any of the four regions and at any building site you want.

In addition, placing a Simple Altar is one of the first main objectives you will get in the optional Pioneering Efforts for the Ligneus Region. If you want to complete this entire Pioneering Effort and earn yourself the Burst Ammo, you will want to place a Simple Altar at one of the many building sites in the world.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is now available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
