How to Register to Play the Nintendo Switch 2 Early

The Nintendo Switch 2 has been finally announced. While we don’t know just yet when you’ll be able to buy the console, we do know when you can possibly play it for the first time. The Nintendo Switch 2 Experience will happen around the world, allowing fans to register to play the Nintendo Switch 2 console early before its presumed launch.

How to Register to Play the Nintendo Switch 2 Early

The Nintendo Switch 2 Experience will happen throughout the world in April and May 2025. Fans in North America, Europe, and Asia alike will have the opportunity to see the new console in action. This will presumably also include a brief gameplay preview of some of the upcoming titles for the system, like the new Mario Kart.

You can register to play the Nintendo Switch 2 early at the official Experience website. Note that the registration will go live on January 17, 2025 at 3 pm EST (12 pm PST) and run until January 26, 2025 11:59 pm local time for each event location. The above website is for American fans, so be sure to check your region’s Nintendo site if you are in Australia, Canada, Europe, or Asia.

You must have a Nintendo account to register for the event. In addition, the event is going to be completely randomized. This is not a first-come, first-serve situation so anyone who registers during the timeframe will have a chance to go.

All Nintendo Switch 2 Experience Locations and Dates, Explained

For those players in the United States, there are three main locations and dates for the Experience. Those dates are April 4-6, 2025 in New York City, New York, April 11-13, 2025 in Los Angeles, California, and April 25-27, 2025 in Dallas, Texas. In addition to those dates, there are other locations and dates around the world.
