One of the best aspects of Atelier Yumia is creating unique items using the synthesis system. However, collecting the materials for this synthesis can be quite time-consuming, and if you want to progress through the main story, it can sometimes be a bit inconvenient. Luckily, there is a way to replicate items as long as you already have them in your inventory.
How Do I Unlock the Greenhouse in Atelier Yumia?
You must unlock the pioneering effort before you can start replicating items in Atelier Yumia. You will gain access to this feature once you clear up the first manabound area. Erhard will then grant you the opportunity to participate in pioneering quests in the Ligneus Region.
If you complete quests tied to the pioneering effort, you can unlock new bases, including the Greenhouse. Many of these tasks are very simple, like defeating a specific enemy or using skills in battle. When you have completed a task, return to Erhard, and you can check your progress.
If you’ve forgotten where Erhard is located, there is a simple way to find him on the map. Fast-travel to the Ligneus Survey Base and then go up the small steps behind you (above is a screenshot of where you can find Erhard on the map). After completing 50% of the Ligneus Region pioneering quests, you will earn the Greenhouse.
How Do I Replicate Items in Atelier Yumia?
The Greenhouse will allow you to replicate an item in your inventory. However, you must set up the Greenhouse before using its features. To do this, head to a building location, which you should be able to find on the map. Once there, open the shortcut wheel by pressing LB and head to “Building”. When you are in the building mode, press start, and it will present you with a list of different types of building structures. You should now have the Greenhouse building structure available to you, but to build it will cost you the following items:
- Great Tree Root x20
- Wood x20
- Water x10
- Fruit x10
You should have plenty of wood and water in your inventory by this point in the game. However, you may need to collect a bit for the other two. The first material, Great Tree Root, can be found by breaking Wizenend Wood, located in the Great Tree Tendrils. Getting fruit will require picking up fruit-like materials, which are a bit more scarce in the terrain. But a good way of getting it is by picking up moonlight berries that can be found in trees.
Now that the Greenhouse has been created, you can start replicating items. Head into the small building, and you will have a prompt that says check by pressing Y. It will then present you with a list of all the items in your inventory. Click the item you want to replicate, and it will start the process. Each item will have a time duration that will take to replicate. For instance, it will take 20 seconds to replicate one copy of a Northern Wild Flower that is a grade B. It can replicate 999 copies of an item, so you can hypothetically leave the area and return later when some time has passed.
There is also the option to do a quick replicate using neutral particles. However, I don’t recommend using this method because it will needlessly eat up the neutral particles you have collected.
