How to Salvage in Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero

If you want to use time efficiently in Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero, you need to constantly use the Salvage Facility. It’s a means of getting a piece of free equipment or item after each battle or as time passes, and it can be a great way to stock up on supplies with very little effort.

How do I unlock the Salvage Facility in Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero?

Well, first you need to advance the campaign. This Facility is tied to the Angler Phantom. At the start of the a new chapter, new Phantoms will be available in the Create Character section, and the game will automatically tell you to make certain ones to unlock the feature tied to them. So once you get to the second chapter, Marona will be able to summon one. Do so, and you’ll be good to go.

How does the Salvage feature work in Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero?

Basically, you visit the Facility and select a Destination. Average Archipelago, which involves 30 minute expeditions, is the first available. Additional ones unlock as you go through the game, with each one taking more time. So Sultan Straits will take an hour.

Once you select an area, you’ll be presented with a 5×5 grid. You select one spot. Each one has five possible items or weapons you could find there, with a percentage showing how likely it will be that you find each piece of equipment. Once you find it, it will be permanently revealed, making it easier to know what’s there.

Just make sure you’re always sending someone out to Salvage! Especially before you save and end a gameplay session! You could end up finding items you need for Requests or helpful equipment you can give to your units or use in the Fusion Facility for extra mana.

Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is available for the Switch, PS4, and PS5, and eventually the PC.
