Once you have completed the independent storyline campaign for the Firework Isles, you can take on the Balloon Hopper challenges in Infinity Nikki. These challenges are mini-games, which highly mimic the platforming segments you encountered while chasing down the dastardly Short Fuse Crew. If you finish any stage for the Balloon Hopper, you will also complete a task that is part of the Strings of Time event. You can claim the Melodic Harmony and the 4-star “Endless Longing” outfit if you earn enough points before the limited-time event ends.
How Can I Participate in Balloon Hopper in Infinity Nikki?
As previously mentioned, you will need to complete the Firework Isles campaign in its entirety to take on the Balloon Hopper challenges. It’s a nice, heartwarming story exploring themes around friendship and building confidence, so we recommend playing this at your own leisurely pace.
When you are ready to take on the Balloon Hopper challenges, teleport to the Sizzle and Spark Centre. Head to the pavilion with all the stalls inside and talk to Eddy. We have placed a screenshot above of the location for reference.
She then tells you that her secret to happiness is simply playing games (which is highly relatable, if you ask me). Eddy then suggests playing a game. Pick the Balloon Hopper, and you should be presented with a list of challenges. If you want to complete the Strings of Time task, we recommend picking the first one on the list, as it’s the easiest to finish. This challenge has two stipulations: clear it in 50 seconds and achieve a perfect score in 38 seconds.
How Do I Win At Balloon Hopper in Infinity Nikki?
The Balloon Hopper is a very simplistic mini-game. All you have to do is jump on the illuminating circles and reach the other side of the course. If you massively backtrack or fall off the edge, you will be disqualified and have to start the challenge from the beginning again.
The first few challenges are very straightforward to complete. But some of the later ones can be a bit more bothersome, as the circles will move in the air, requiring you to pre-plan your movements in advance. For better or worse, you can not use the Floral Gliding ability either, meaning you will be relying on the traditional gliding ability you obtained at the beginning of Infinity Nikki. Every time you attempt a Balloon Hopper mini-game, it will cost you 100 Bling.
Infinity Nikki is available for the PS5, PC and mobile devices.
