How do I access ‘Stalking Supper’ in Monster Hunter Wilds?

This Event Quest requires Hunters to be online to gain access to it. If you are over Hunter Rank 9, which most players should be upon entering High Rank after Chapter 3 of the main story, you can take part in the mission. All players need to do to accept the quest are to talk to Alma and select it from the Event Quest menu at the Quest Counter.

The quest itself is pretty straightforward. A Quematrice appears in the Windward Plains, and players must hunt it down. This beast uses a lot of fire-element attacks to deal with hunters, so fire-resistant armor will help. If you can deal with its tail swipes, beak and fiery ignitions, you will manage to take the beast down smoothly.

How do I use Kunafa Cheese in Monster Hunter Wilds?

Upon completion of the quest, in addition to the Quematrice materials which can be used for armor and weapons for your Hunter and your Palico, you will get Kunafa Cheese as a drop. This can be used from the Grill a Meal Menu to add the Defender skill to your meal bonus. Kunafa Cheese offers access to the Defender Meal (Lo), which sometimes reduces damage taken from various attacks. The Sharp Kunafa Cheese, the rarer variant, grants the Defender Meal (Hi) effect. That reduces the damage taken much more frequently. This can be a saving grace when dealing with some of the stronger challenges in High Rank, such as the Tempered Apex Monsters or Gore Magala.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The first Title Update, bringing Mizutsune will arrive in Spring, 2025. The “Stalking Supper” Event Quest is available from March 4 until March 11, 2025.
