Is There New Game Plus in Atelier Yumia?

One of the most beloved features in many JRPGs, including past Atelier games, is the addition of New Game Plus. The ability to be able to start the main story over and see it all again, but with the benefit of the items and levels you already gained, is a great idea. But is there New Game Plus available for players in Atelier Yumia?

Is There New Game Plus in Atelier Yumia?

I am happy to confirm right off the bat that there is, indeed, New Game Plus available in this game. Players are able to complete their adventure and then restart it all over again while carrying over some of what they had from the first run. This is great since it means players are able to get more time with the experience than before.

There are a couple of reasons you might want to opt for a New Game Plus with this title. There are some dialogue choices throughout the story. While most don’t affect too much, they do change how characters react to you a little. As such, it might be worth seeing the other reactions. Plus, you can play through on a harder difficulty if you want.

What Carries Over to New Game Plus

As for what carries over to your New Game Plus run in Atelier Yumia, the answer is a bit complicated. While it is great that this feature exists, what carries over is a bit annoying. You see, you lose pretty much all of the items and equipment you have in the entire game when you restart the story.

The only exception to this is the current equipment you have equipped whenever you defeat the final boss. That said, the one benefit is you can stack your party with the best items and gear in the game, so you start over with all of it ready to go already. This makes challenging harder difficulty levels more doable as well.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
