Another Hatsune Miku vampire figure is on the way, but this time it is one based on the Chinese jiangshi. Design Coco revealed the painted prototype for the first time at Wonder Festival 2025 Winter (aka WonHobby 39). It is based on a design by Honda Loalo.
As the jiangshi is a type of undead creature from Chinese folklore, this Hatsune Miku figure is wearing an outfit inspired by ones from the country and features a talisman on her forehead. Her skin is also pale, to hint at her undead nature. She does still have her hair in pigtails, but they first appear in buns before having braids dangle down from them.
Here’s how the Design Coco figure looks so far:
When it comes to figures, then Honda Loalo is probably best known for some Touhou Project designs. The artist created the concept art for two by Alter. The first was a Flandre Scarlet figure from June 2023. The other was a Remilia Scarlet figure released in July 2024.
However, the artist is probably best known for working on Vtuber designs. The of the more notable ones are Kuzuha and Nagao Kei from Nijisanji.
Design Coco’s Hatsune Miku Jiangshi figure is in development, and there’s no release window yet.
