If you have a NicoNico Premium account, there’s an additional talk show after the stream. Also of note is that the talk part during the stream may contain spoilers for NieR, NieR Automata, and NieR Reincarnation. Aside from talking about the games, you’ll also be able to enjoy a short concert.

Square Enix and the now-defunct Cavia first released NieR for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010. The Japanese version of the game, Replicant, was on the PS3 and featured the titular protagonist as a young man. Meanwhile, Gestalt came out on the Xbox 360 and featured an older version of the main character. The series is a spinoff of the Drakengard series, taking place after the fifth ending.

Nier was more a cult classic than anything, whereas its sequel, Nier Automata, is the one that most people today think of when they hear the series name. It sold over 9 million copies worldwide as of December 2024, and received multiple accolades and nominations in various awards between 2017 and 2018.

The NieR 15th anniversary live stream for the game series will run for two and a half hours at 6:00 PM JST of April 29, 2025.
