New Pokemon TCG Pocket Space-Time Smackdown Booster Packs Coming

The Pokemon Company International revealed the new Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket booster pack expansion is called Space-Time Smackdown. It will feature Sinnoh Pokemon like Chimchar, Piplup, Turtwig, Dialga, and Palkia. The new Pokemon TCG Pocket expansion cards arrive on January 30, 2025, one dat after the trade feature.

The announcement initially confirmed six new Sinnoh Pokemon appearing on Space-Time Smackdown expansion cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket. In addition to the three starters and two legendaries, Lucario was mentioned. The official trailer offered more insight. It showed ex versions of Dialga and Palkia cards, as well as one for Pachirisu. The starters are all basics. Leafeon, Gible, Cresselia, and Honchkrow cards showed up as well. One of the featured Supporter Trainer cards is Cynthia.

As for the Pokemon TCG Pocket trade feature, the announcement confirmed only Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansion cards will be available to swap. You will need a consumable item called a Trade Hourglass to do that. There will also be rules around which cards can be swapped, to keep things even. 

Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is available on Android and Apple iOS mobile devices, with the trade feature coming on January 29, 2025 and Space-Time Smackdown TCG expansion out on January 30, 2025.
