The post, which lists down a number of titles published by NIS America, noted that the price increases would affect titles as listed on Epic Games Store, Steam, the Microsoft Store, and Google Stadia. They would also only take place after the conclusion of ongoing promotional sales, such as the Steam Summer Sale. The schedule for the price increase is currently set for July 19, 2021.

The titles affected range from older classics like Disgaea to relatively recent releases like Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA. In some cases, the price increases are significant. For example, the prices of Birthdays the Beginning, among others, almost doubled from USD $9.99 to $19.99, while the price of Phantom Brave PC quadrupled, up from USD $4.99.
