A new trailer for Pokemon Legends: Z-A appeared during the latest March 2025 Nintendo Direct, and it revealed new trainer battles we can participate in during the Z-A Royale. During the day, Lumiose City is a normal metropolis, but at night it turns into a free-for-all for Pokemon trainers.
During the day, Pokemon can be caught around the many Wild Zones available throughout Lumiose City, with some creatures even appearing outside of these. Meanwhile, at night the city becomes into a tournament where highly skilled trainers fight against each other. When spotted, players will start a real time and turn-based hybrid battle, but players also have the option to sneak in and deliver the first blow to the rival trainer’s Pokemon.
