Blast Zero is working on Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past, a new game based on the anime series, and will release it in 2026. While exact platforms weren’t specified, it will appear on consoles and PCs. The Steam page is already live for the title.
Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past features multiple playable characters from the series, with initial imagery showing Speedy Cerviche, Guido Anchovy, and Polly Esther. Seymour “Big” Cheese and his minions are up to no good, and it’s up to the team to save the day again. We see Speedy exploring an overworld from an overhead perspective, then occasionally encountering a random enemy or altercation. This shifts things to a 2D level that looks like a platformer, but also involves action-RPG gameplay. Each cat features their own specialties, and you can swap them out. There will also be a card-based system for summons and abilities.
Here’s the first trailer for the game, which appeared on IGN’s channel. It featured the English voice acting, which includes Dean Hagopian as The Big Cheese again.
An array of initial screenshots also shows off how the game will look. The design direction is intended to mimic the appearance of the show.
Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past will appear on consoles and PCs in 2026, though exact platforms for the game weren’t confirmed, and the original 52 episodes of the anime can be found on Peacock.
