Square Enix Shared Best FFVII Rebirth Steam Deck Graphics Setting 

Just ahead of launch, Square Enix confirmed the team ensured FFVII Rebirth would be Steam Deck verified, and now it also shared the best setting for running the JRPG on social media. It noted selecting “Low” Graphics Quality in the Options menu is the official recommendation.

This move is designed to ensure that someone who picks up FFVII Rebirth and only intends to play it on the Steam Deck adjusts the settings for the best possible experience. The company didn’t recommend any additional tweaks in the Graphics menu. The screenshot it shared alongside the announcement also showed exactly which option to select in the Graphics Quality area.

Square Enix also reminded people playing FFVII Rebirth on a Steam Deck and either laptop or PC that they should make sure to swap Graphics Quality option in settings when going between the two to ensure the best possible experience. If someone is using a handheld gaming PC other than a Steam Deck, I’d suggest playing around to find the best settings for you.

The company didn’t issue an update on the upcoming Steam Deck giveaway tied to the game. Square Enix made three that resemble Chocobos. It noted it will give away these FFVII Rebirth units at a later date.
