Earlier this week, Bandai Namco revealed many more screenshots of Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris, focusing on new game-original heroine Medina Orthinanos, as well as the battle system and scenery. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
Medina Orthinanos (CV: Miho Okasaki)
The 9th head of the second-class Duke Orthinanos family. She’s usually quite calm, but when she fights, she becomes more violent. She has a duty to get stronger and achieve some sort of feat in order to redeem her family honor.
Battle System
Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris features real-time battles against both monsters and humans.
Partner
You can swap between controlling Kirito or his partner ally in order to perform combos.
Partner Orders and Combinations
You can give orders to your partner, such as skills, or actions to take.
Skill Chains
When you see a notification showing your partner’s current skill in use, you can activate a Skill Chain by using a skill at the same time to start a Combination.
Regular Attacks
Regular consecutive sword strikes that can charge up the gauge used for skills.
Skills
Strong attacks that can be combined with ally skills. They have special effects.
Sacred Arts
Depending on the element, it can have additional effects. It has many uses, such as cancelling out of end lag after normal attacks and skills.
Enemies
Many native monsters in Underworld will try and attack Kirito and his friends.
Passage of time
Time will pass in real time in Underworld, allowing you to see many faces to the areas you visit.
Field Locations
Beginning with Rulid Village, players will visit many areas across Underworld in the game.
