During the Nintendo Direct presentation today Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, and Final Fantasy X|X-2 are coming to Switch as HD remasters in 2019.
The PlayStation 4 theme, called “To Zanarkand,” is based on the opening scene of Final Fantasy X, where you can see Tidus and the others by the camp fire by Zanarkand.
Siliconera spoke with Visual Works director Kazuyuki Ikumori where he talked creating Final Fantasy X's memorable kiss scene and the challenge of working with a staff that didn't have much experience with romance.
“Actually, not limited to just X/X-2, we’re currently thinking of setting [a way] to have other past Final Fantasy titles playable on the PS4,” said Square Enix's Shinji Hashimoto.
